In short, yes. According to the Texas Board of Nursing, a licensed and certified APRN can provide medical services such as performing physical examinations, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing acute episodic illnesses and stable chronic diseases, and prescribing medications and treatments under the delegation and supervision of a Medical Doctor.

Psychiatric evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Medication management for mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety, psychotic disorders, cognitive disorders, PTSD, and ADHD (non-controlled). As of now, I am only seeing 18 years+

As a PMHNP, psychotherapy is within my scope of practice. However, I focus on medication management, which encompasses addressing concerns, providing education, and supporting patients in their self-management and situational stressors. It is recommended to establish individual or group psychotherapy with an outside provider.

(It is your responsibility to verify with your insurance if I am in or out of network and if your plan has behavioral health benefits or a deductible plan.)
If you are paying out of pocket, 60-minute initial evaluations are $285, and 30-minute follow-up appointments are $165. I can also provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

If using insurance, you are responsible for your co-pay amount at the time of visit and any other costs not covered by your insurance, such as a deductible. If out of pocket, you are responsible for the full fee. All patients are responsible for late cancellation/no-show and late arrival fees.

There is no fee for cancellations made 24 hours before your appointment time.
Late cancellations after 24 hours will have a $100 fee.
No shows will have a $150 fee.
If you arrive more than 10 minutes after your appointment time, it will be considered late and will incur a $150 fee. It is essential and in your best interest to arrive on time, as it allows appropriate time with your provider to assess properly and discuss the plan of care.
